Voici ces saints mots:

C'est écrit dans les livres de prières Sépharadiques que quand nous sortons le rouleau de Torah, nous avons besoin de dire “par le mérite de Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.”

C'est écrit dans le Gilgoul Neshamot que Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai était une réincarnation du Roi Yotam ben Ouzziyahou. Il n'avait jamais péché de sa vie. Il était une réincarnation de Yotam.

[Dans Souccot 45, c'est écrit: Chizkiya à dit au nom de Rabbi Yirmiyah au nom de Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: “Je peux exempter le monde entier du jugement depuis le jour que j'étais créé jusqu'à maintenant, et si mon fils Eliezer était avec moi — depuis le jour que le monde fût créé jusqu'à maintenant, et si Yotam ben Ouzziyahou était avec nous — depuis que le monde fût créé jusqu'à sa fin.”]

S'il y avait Rabbi Shimon, et également Rabbi Elazar berebi Shimon, et Yotam ben Ouzziyahou, tous les péchés seraient pardonnés.

Chacun a besoin de dire chaque jour les noms de ces trois Tzaddikim: Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Rabbi Elazar berebi Shimon, qu'il puisse exempter le monde entier du jugement, “et si Eliezer mon fils était avec moi, depuis que le monde fût créé jusqu'à maintenant.”

Et avec Yotam ben Ouzziyahou, depuis le jour que le monde etait créé jusqu'à sa fin. Rashi dit que Yotam n'a jamais commis aucune transgression.  Il était le seul roi qui n'ait jamais commis aucune transgression.  Il grandit à l'intérieur d'un cimetière.  Il n'a jamais vu une femme de sa vie, il ne voyait rien.

Comme c'est dit à propos des deux fils de Shimon HaTzaddik qui ne savaient pas comment distinguer entre les vêtements d'un homme et les vêtements d'une femme, car ils n'avaient jamais vu de leurs vies les vêtements d'une femme.

Donc tu as besoin de demander comment ils [pouvaient] prendre un tel Kohen Gadol qui ne savait même pas comment s'habiller?  Un Kohen Gadol a besoin de savoir que cela est l'avodah — comment s'habiller, quoi mettre.

Maintenant ils l'ont amené pour lui enseigner. Chacun a habillé son prochain. Chonio habillait Shimi et Shimi habillait Chonio.

These are his holy words:

It’s written in Sephardic prayer books that when we take out the Torah scroll, we need to say “in the merit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.”

It’s written in Gilgul Neshamot that Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was a reincarnation of King Yotam ben Uzziyahu.  He never sinned in his life.  He was a reincarnation of Yotam.

[In Succot 45, it’s written: Chizkiya said in the name of Rabbi Yirmiyah in the name of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: “I can exempt the whole world from the judgement from the day that I was created until now, and if my son Eliezer was with me — from the day the world was created until now, and if Yotam ben Uzziyahu was with us — from the day the world was created until its end.”]

If there were Rabbi Shimon, and also Rabbi Elazar berebi Shimon, and Yotam ben Uzziyahu, all sins would be forgiven.

One needs to say every day the names of these three Tzaddikim: Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Rabbi Elazar berebi Shimon, that he could exempt the whole world from judgement, “and if Eliezer my son was with me, from the day the world was created until now.”

And with Yotam ben Uzziyahu, from the day the world was created until its end.  Rashi says that Yotam never committed any transgression.  He was the only king who never committed any transgression.  He grew up inside of a cemetery.  He never saw a woman in his life, didn’t see anything.
