בעל 'עטרת צבי' - נפטר י"א תמוז תקצ"א

רבי צבי הירש נולד לאביו הרה"ק רבי יצחק אייזיק זי"ע בכפר סאמבור, בן אחיו דבו של מהרי"א מזידטשוב התבטא עליו:

"נהרין ליה שבילין דרקיע כשבילי דנהר דעה" ר' יצחק אייזיק מקמארנא זיע"א כתב עליו: מורי דודי הק' נשמתו הייתה נשמת ר'

חיים ויטאל משורש הקרוב אל נשמת ר"ע מלבד מה שאח"כ עלה ע"י מעשיו לעוד כמה מדרגות' ובספר יפרח בימיו צדיק מובא

עליו שהיה נשמת רשב"י זיע"א, ובספר עשר קדושות מובא שאמר רבי צבי הירש לאחיו שבאחד הגלגולים זכה הוא להגיע לדרגת

נשמת רבי ישמעאל כהן גדול. דבו המובהק היה החוזה מלובלין, אולם נהג להסתובב אצל עוד צדיקים כדוגמת רבי משה ליב

מסאסוב זיע"א שממנו למד פדק גדול בהל' אהבת ישראל וכן אצל ר' ישראל המגיד מקוז'ניץ זיע"א.

את המשנה "על שלושה דברים העולם עומד על התורה ועל העבודה ועל גמילות חסדים" אמרו עליו על הצדיק מזידטשוב.

"על התורה" - מסירות נפשו ללימוד התורה הקדושה הייתה לאין ערוך, היה שובר את הקרח טובל ולומד לאור הנר את ה"עץ

חיים" במסירות, וגם כשלמד בביתו בעוני ומחסוד ובקור העז, והיה מרביץ תורה ברבים. "על העבודה" - איזוהי עבודה שבלב זו

תפילה, היה מאריך בתפילתו ובפרט בשמו"ע במשך שעות, "ועל גמילות חסדים"- רבות היה פועל בענייני צדקה וחסד. גם שהיו

מביאים לידיו צדקות ופדיונות היה מחלקם ולא היה מלין בביתו פרוטה אחת. השיא יתומים ונתן להם כל מחסורם, נידב רבות

לאברכים ונזקקים, והוא לכשעצמו חי בעוני וצמצום גדול.

פעם אחת כשהיה החוזה מלובלין חולה ולא היה יכול לצאת החוצה לקדש את הלבנה, אמד לו: הרי הלבנה

עומדת כאן נגד החלון, וכך קדש החוזה את הלבנה, אחר כך נענה החוזה ואמר: אל תחשבו שה'עטרת צבי' סבב

את חדרי באופן שיהיה החלון מול הלבנה, אלא שהוא סבב את כל מערכת השמים הגלגלים והכוכבים

כדי לקדש את הלבנה, כי יש בכח הצדיקים להנהיג את העולם הגשמי והרוחני כרצונם. עוד בחיי היותם

של רבותיו הוכתר הוא לרב ומנהיג קהילה, ותלמידים רבים באו לחסות תחת כנפיו. בשנת תק"צ פרצה

מגיפה נוראה באזור גליציה והונגריה אשד הפילה חללים רבים וכששמע זאת הצדיק ר' צבי הירש

הצטער ובעצם יום השכת עלה לארון הקודש נשא שני ידיו לבורא עולם וקרא בקול: "ריבונו של עולם,

איני יכול לראות בצערם של ישראל, הריני כפרתם והריני מוסר נפשי למיתה לכפר בעדם ולהפסיק

המגיפה. תפילתו הזכה והכנה התקבלה עד מהרה ועוד באותה השבת תקפה אותה המחלה הקשה של

המגיפה. במשך 4 ימים חלה אנושות עד שבליל רביעי, יום בו ניטלו המאורות, ניטל המאור הגדול

באור לי"א תמוז והוא כבן 68 שנים בלבד. רבים נוהגים לפקוד את קברו בפרט ביום הילולתו.

🇺🇸 Hilula 11 Tamuz Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Eichenstein of Zidichov, may his merit protect us, Amen.

The author of "Ateret Tzvi" - passed away on the 11th of Tammuz, 5781 (2021).

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh was born to his father, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac z''l, in the village of Sambor. The qualities of his uncle, the Mahari of Zidichov, were expressed through him. Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Kamarna z"l wrote about him: "My master and uncle, his soul was the soul of Rabbi Chaim Vital, rooted close to the soul of Rabbi Akiva. Besides that, he ascended through his actions to several levels, and it is mentioned in the book "יפרח בימיו צדיק " that he possessed the soul of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai z"l. And in the book 'עשר קדושות' it is brought that Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh said to his brother that in one of the reincarnations, he merited to reach the level of the soul of Rabbi Yishmael Kohen Gadol. His prominent uncle was the Chozeh of Lublin z"l, but he used to visit other righteous individuals, such as Rabbi Moshe Leib of Sassov z"l from whom he learned a great deal in the realm of "Ahavat Yisrael" (love of Israel), as well as from Rabbi Yisrael the Maggid of Kozhnitz z"l.

Concerning the Mishnah Pirkei Avot perek 1 "On three things the world stands: on Torah, on Divine service, and on acts of loving-kindness," it was said about him regarding the Tzadik of Zidichov:

"On Torah" - he dedicated his soul to the study of the holy Torah, he exerted himself in breaking the ice, immersed himself and studied by the light of the candle the "Etz Chaim" (Tree of Life) with self-sacrifice. Even when he studied in his home in poverty, with a modest and meager dwelling, he spread Torah to the public. "On Divine service" - his heartfelt service was prayer; he would prolong his prayers, especially the Shemoneh Esrei, for hours. "And on acts of loving-kindness" - he was actively engaged in matters of charity and kindness. Even when people brought him contributions and redemptions, he would distribute them and not keep a single penny in his house. He would support orphans and provide for all their needs, he gave generously to the needy and destitute, all while he himself lived in poverty and great austerity.

Once, when the Chozeh of Lublin z"l was ill and unable to go outside to sanctify the new moon, he measured and said, "Behold, the moon is standing here opposite the window," and thus the Chozeh sanctified the new moon. Afterward, the Chozeh responded and said, "Do not think that 'Ateret Tzvi' is circling around my room so that the window would be facing the moon. Rather, it encompasses the entire system of the heavens, the spheres and the stars, in order to sanctify the moon. For the righteous have the power to direct the physical and spiritual world according to their will." During his lifetime, he was crowned as a Rav and leader of the community, and many students sought refuge under his wings. In the year 5689 (1929), a terrible epidemic broke out in the Galicia and Hungary region, causing many casualties. When he heard this, the Tzadik Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh was saddened, and on the day of the epidemic's outbreak, he ascended to the Holy Ark, raised his hands to the Creator of the world, and cried out, "Master of the universe, I cannot bear the suffering of the Jewish people. Behold, I am offering myself as an atonement and sacrificing my life to atone for them and to stop the plague." His prayer was heard and accepted quickly, and on the same Shabbat, the severe disease of the epidemic subsided.

For four days, the epidemic raged until on the fourth night, the lights were extinguished, and the great luminary, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh, passed away on the 11th of Tammuz, at the age of only 68. Many visit his gravesite, particularly on the anniversary of his passing. May his merit protect us. Amen.

Même lorsque les gens lui apportaient des contributions et des rachats, il les distribuait et ne gardait pas un seul sou chez lui. Il soutenait les orphelins et pourvoyait à tous leurs besoins, il donnait généreusement aux nécessiteux et aux démunis, tout en vivant lui-même dans la pauvreté et une grande austérité.

Une fois, lorsque le Chozeh de Lublin z"l était malade et ne pouvait pas sortir pour sanctifier le nouveau mois, il mesura et dit : "Voici, la lune se tient ici en face de la fenêtre", et ainsi le Chozeh sanctifia le nouveau mois. Ensuite, le Chozeh répondit et dit : "Ne pensez pas que 'Ateret Tzvi' tourne autour de ma chambre pour que la fenêtre soit face à la lune. En réalité, il englobe tout le système des cieux, les sphères et les étoiles, afin de sanctifier la lune. Car les justes ont le pouvoir de diriger le monde physique et spirituel selon leur volonté." De son vivant, il fut couronné Rav et chef de la communauté, et de nombreux étudiants cherchèrent refuge sous son aile. En 5689 (1929), une terrible épidémie éclata dans la région de Galicie et de Hongrie, causant de nombreuses victimes. Lorsqu'il l'apprit, le Tzadik Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh fut attristé, et le jour de l'apparition de l'épidémie, il monta vers l'Arche Sainte, leva les mains vers le Créateur du monde et s'écria : "Maître de l'univers, je ne peux supporter les souffrances du peuple juif. Me voici, je m'offre en expiation et je sacrifie ma vie pour les expier et arrêter la peste." Sa prière fut rapidement entendue et acceptée, et le même Shabbat, la grave maladie de l'épidémie s'atténua.

Pendant quatre jours, l'épidémie fit rage jusqu'à ce que, le quatrième soir, les lumières s'éteignirent et le grand luminaire, Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh, s'éteignit le 11 Tamouz, à l'âge de seulement 68 ans. De nombreuses personnes visitent sa tombe, en particulier à l'anniversaire de son décès. Que son mérite nous protège. Amen.
